Grapes: 100% Syrah, soil: mainly clayey, planting density: on average 4500 vines per hectare, production area: Agrigento hills, exposure: South-East, altitude: 100/250 m asl. training system: espalier with guyot or spurred cordon pruning, vineyard age: 20/25 years, yield per hectare: about 90/100 quintals, harvest period: Second ten days of September, maturation: in barriques for 6 months, ageing: in the bottle for about 3 months, colour: intense purplish red, nose: delicate, elegant and complex with hints of black mulberry, licorice, blueberry and currant, taste: dense and soft, recommended pairings: roasted or braised meats, aged cheeses, aubergines parmesan, rice balls.
